深夜電台 Midnight Radio

In high school I listened to the radio through headphones every night, not for the programmes, but to confirm that someone else was still awake.

Midnight Radio is written for that kid. The album is structured like a real late-night show: an open, a request slot, dead air where the host talks nonsense, unstable signal, and a sign-off. Between the nine songs I put short interludes, like frequencies you sweep past while changing stations.

This is the least finished of my early records. The mix has problems. I would want to redo it now. I am not going to. At the time I had one condenser mic and a second-hand laptop. That roughness is the actual sound of that period. Clean it up and it is gone.
